Agri-community Center is located in a tiny agricultural community of only 16 families - the population is less than fifty in all even today. In Japan, since the agricultural population has been declining in these few decades, many of agri-communities are confronted with a disruption. However, once the building was realized, according to the official report by MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries), over 4000 people visited there for six months after the departure, even though it opened only on Saturdays. Because customers, mostly from such big cities as Kyoto or Ohtsu, repeatedly come not only to purchase fresh vegetables, but to experience agricultural activities, it is decided to open also on Sundays for responding to their demand. When harvest festivals are taken place, over 400 visitors come and enjoy in each time, which had never been happened before. The building functions quite successfully as literally a "community center" to activate human intercourses in the local areas, which gives the farmers a great incentive for producing more and more crops; and also contributes to revitalize agriculture itself by re-cultivating agriculture fields abandoned before. It tells us that miracle is not a dream.
